Wire & Cable Plasma Treatment PT-1000 Split Electrode: for endless extruder lines

Relevant Industries

  • Split electrode version is used at the extrusion lines or other wire processing installations when the wire end can not be easily cut and threaded through a regular electrode. It consists of two halves mounted on an air cylinder driven slide. The electrode opens to load an “endless” wire into a working zone and then closes around the wire providing uniform 360-degree plasma treatment.

  • Production rate - Up to 300ft/min
  • Plasma treated wire insulation materials - PTFE, FEP, ETFE, XL ETFE, Silicon, PE, PP, PET, ABS, Quartz, Glass, etc.
  • Standard electrode set for wires and cables - Round 1/8”, ¼” and ½” I.D, 4” length
  • Optional Electrodes - Up to 2” ID, up to 8 ft length, elliptical, rectangular, spliot, etc.
  • Plasma Gases - Air, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Ammonia, Argon, Helium, etc.

  • Typical Gas Consumption - 3-30 scfh
  • Typical Power Consumption - 100 W
  • Power Requirement - 120/250V, 60/50 Hz, 1 A
  • Exhaust System - Optional, with variable flow up to 100 scfm
  • PT1000 on a cart - (H -38), (W - 22), (D -20), (Weight - 75)
  • PT1000 Split - (H -43), (W - 22), (D -23), (Weight - 80)
  • PT1000 Stand Alone Power Supply - (H -8), (W - 14), (D -14), (Weight - 12)
  • PT1000 Stand alone Electrode - (H -7), (W - 10), (D -10), (Weight - 10)
  • Operating Environment - Temperature (35-105 oF), Humidity (90% max, non-condensing)
