  • PT-2000PVM is a stand along plasma system specifically designed to treat the outside surfaces of the catheters, plastic tubes or the like.
  • The PT-2000PVM can treat a wide variety of parts. It can treat specific areas or entire surface. Depending on the gas mixture, plasma can increase or decrease such important surface characteristics as wettability, bond ability, lubricity, etc. It may induce a crosslinking or radical attachment. The samples can be automatically loaded into the treatment chamber. The design of a plasma chamber and plasma electrode as well as a sample carrier and a batch size are different for different processes. Consult factory for specific applications
  • The system is comprised of High Voltage Plasma Generator with flat electrode connected to PLC driven Power Supply with Touch Screen Control Panel. The electrodes are mounted on the programmable slides with up to 200 cm travel. It can be easily integrated into a catheter production line.
  • During the operation, the system constantly checks plasma current, gas flow and pressure. If any of the parameters fluctuates beyond specified limit, alarm goes on. Alarm set points and trip delays are programmable and password protected.
  • The standard PT-2000PVM system operates in ambient air at atmospheric pressure and utilizes compressed ARGON or HELIUM to activate the discharge. Special gases or mixtures may be used to create a discharge with specific properties. Plasma occupies volume of specific dimensions defined by the electrode configuration and applied voltage.
  • PLC stores up to ten sets of optimized plasma parameters dedicated to specific treatment processes (recipes). A required recipe can then be easily selected from a list when changing, for example, from treatment of one specific part to another. The system records original setup parameters, all changes in the corresponding recipes, and the alarms. Log file can be downloaded to a regular computer via ethernet connection
